Why does it always happen to me PTII

As mentioned in my previous blog, I was having my partners car fixed at a body repair company local to me, which was initially going to be completely down to my car insurance company, but that was before DWS got involved.

First, it was going great, I took a old car in for repair, and got a nissan qashqai which is a lovely car to drive, although it does drink petrol.  In one week, it cost over £80.00 in petrol, doing the same distance as we would normally do, spending just £30.00 in our normal car.

So anyway, not going to dwell on that one, as we finally got our car back from the nasty body repair company, and the bumper was so shiny, it looked like a new car!  That was until you walked closer to the car, and noticed that the boot door was put back on at an angle, so back it went again.

This time, my car insurance company said I could change the car due to the cost and other small problems I had with it.   So the nice guys at the lease company gave me a vauxhall astra, which I have to admit, is a lovely drive.

Now, this seemed to go back and fourth more times than I care to remember, but I won’t go into too much detail, although it cost an additional £50.00+ in telephone bills calling both the insurance company, and the garage in question to find out what was going on with the car.

I think the main problem I had was not only with the body repair company, but with my car insurance company, as they didn’t seem to want to help, no matter how many times I spoke to people their, or asked to speak to a manager.  They just kept with the same old attitude, the same as most companies take when it comes to claiming.  ”Oh Well!”

But it’s almost time to get a insurance renewal, but what do you think the odds will be on getting in touch with the big red telephone people?
