USDA grants funds for rural energy projects – Sacramento Business Journal:

Some energy efficient initiatives that woulx qualify include installing wind turbines andsolaer panels.
Establishing anaerobic digesters and creatingmore energy-efficientf agricultural production by upgrading insulation, boilers and lighting also will qualif under the terms of the program. Especiallty important this year, according to officials, is a new sectiobn that finances feasibilitystudies — which can include moneyt for meteorological towers. These “met towers” help locate the strongesgt wind area so that wind turbiness can be mostadvantageously placed. The applicationes require a completed energy assessment orenergy audit. Unlike previousd years, the cost of the audit or assessment will be paid for by the should the applicantbe successful.
