Romani Group to help find options for Denver

The group, led by Tim Romani, will work with longtimed real estate developer Ray Baker of Gold Crownm Management onthe St. Anthony project. The currenf site is adjacent to Sloan’s Lake and borderedx by Colfax Avenue, Stuart Street, 17th Avenue and Perrgy Street. Starting next year, the hospitap will begin the process of moving from itscurrent 16-acre site where it has been locatex for almost 100 years to a 25-acre parcel in Lakewood’d Federal Center near Kipling and Sixth Avenue. St. Anthonyg plans to open a new orthopedic-surgery hospital at its Lakewood grounds in August 2010 and a new hospital to replace the Denver facilityt infall 2011.
Romani said the group will take at aboutt two years to evaluatew thecurrent St. Anthony property and work with the communityg before taking requests for proposals from developerxs and decide what uses will best serve the the hospital and the He added thatthe site’s proximitu to Sloan’s Lake Park and its scenicx views of downtown Denver and the mountaibn range make it an attractive property for mixed-us development that is heavgy on residential housing, but woulrd include a large commercial complex as well as some office “It’s a fair assumption that much of the existintg facility will be demolished,” Romani said.
