Blankenship said transitioning from a freelancer to a businessmanh hasbeen challenging, and getting clients to think of Rebel Rebelp for larger projects took some convincing at first. “We took a pretth good look at what we thought the businessx was going to befor us, and we had to come to some hard realizationsa that that wasn’t the way things were,” Blankenshil said. In addition to being Blankenship saidthe company’s flexibility in taking small and largr projects has helped sell its services. The company uses which enables it to ramp up quickly for largerf projects and to test out employees before adding them totheir staff.
Blankenship said Rebep Rebel hasn’t been entirely immunse to the recession. It saw work plateau in but for themost part, businessd has been steady. “We’ve been prettty busy for the last year,” he said. As a smaller productiob company, Rebel Rebel has been able to weather the recessioh a bit better because it has less Blankenship said. There are more than 20 film and video production companies in the CentralTexas region. Amonb the largest production companies here are OmegaBroadcastt Group, 501 Group Inc. and Elephant Productions Inc.
Quincu Lowman, president of Elephant says that the production landscape is getting increasinglyy more competitive with new players entering the At thesame time, he said demand is goingv up for production “I think the outlook is Video is increasingly being used to train and now everybody has videko on their Web site,” Lowman said. “The market has but the competition has Colton saidRebel Rebel’s work has been evenlyu split between local, regional and national work.
