“This was a difficult, but necessary, step to take but the supportf that general admission fees provides is criticak to sustainingthe museum’s mission, presenting acclaimed and caring for our world-renowned collections. It also enablews us to maintain our nationally recognized public programs and ongoinyg outreach efforts at neighborhood sites throughoutthe city,” said Gail Harrity, interinm CEO. The museum, which covere nine acres on BenjaminFranklin Parkway, has 200 galleriexs and a range of works, includin painting, sculpture, works on decorative arts and architectural settings from Asia and the Americas.
