The 630,000-square-foot children’s hospital will include 95 beds and serve as the core ofa 60-acred pediatric health campus featuring a children’ s clinic, emergency department, diagnostic and ambulatory programs along with educationn and research centers. Nemours plans to open the $380 millioj hospital in 2012. The new pediatri c health care system will provided specialty services for children with medicallycomples conditions. “We have worked toward this day forseveral years, and our drean of improving health care servicesz for Central Florida’s children is finally coming to fruition,” said Bill Nemours senior administrator in Florida.
“We are creatingg an integrated pediatric health care system for the futurw that will have far reaching TheNemours Children’s Hospital is hoping its with close proximity to University of Central Florida Collegse of Medicine, Burnham Institute for Medical Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center, M.D. Andersom Cancer Research Institute and University of Florid aresearch facility, will encourage partnerships at the emergingy “medical city” destination. Skanskwa USA Building Inc. serves as the constructionh manager overseeing the construction ofthe project.
