NCR (NYSE: NCR) will create 2,120 additional jobs in Georgiw as a result of the headquarters move and a newmanufacturint facility, according to a company presz release. The company said it will begin movinh its headquarters from Daytonto Ga., in July. The company will add roughly 1,250 jobs with the shifting headquarters, NCR said in a Tuesdau press release. The company did not specify how many of thosde jobs will comefrom However, it said it will work with impacterd employees to provide career services support and NCR will not completely vacate Dayton, as it will continuw to operate a data center and support for local with fewer than 50 employees remaining locally.

He emphasized the majorithy of the jobs will leave Daytonb and the company will putits 1.3 million-square-foo headquarters up for sale. He said there will be no publicd announcement and the company will work through the issues internallt in thecoming months. Officiala said they expect the transition to be completexdby 2010. Dayton Commissioner Nan Whaleg said the city willlose $2.5 million in incomee tax revenue with NCR's departure. The loss is expected to createperipheral losses, too.
