Fire and Weight Loss

Hope ya’ll had a Merry Christmas and great New Year’s Eve!

I woke up on Dec. 31 to a fire in my house!  Yes, what a way to end the year. The hot water heater was in flames and luckily an ADT smoke alarm and fire extinguisher saved the day. The Nashville Fire Department came and made sure everything was OK, and the fine folks at State Farm Insurance more than impressed me by sending a company out with a cleaning crew, two air scrubbers and a new hot water heater within a few hours. Now that’s what I call service…even on New Year’s Eve!  Need any kind of insurance, he’s my personal plug for Sid Neuhoff, Al and the amazing folks at State Farm office in Belle Meade Plaza.

So, the house is all cleaned up and now it’s time to officially kick of a new year of ramblings, and a weight loss challenge by me, Rambler Tim and my friend Jason from otterball.  We plan to eat well, exercise more and lose a combined total of 75 lbs. in 17 weeks.  At the end we hope to look better, feel better, and to help out our neighbors in need, Music City Rambling is going to donate $75 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.  More on that tomorrow!

Cheers,

-Johnny T.
