2 New Home Insurance companies In Florida!
Two new companies are now in the marketplace or coming soon. Sawgrass Mutual has just opened in late August for business and will be writing policies w/ some select few agencies. This is a big issue since we are in Hurricane season and this is unusual but very welcome. Another company Argus is set to start writing new business starting 1/1/2010. They have been a take out company from Citizens for several years, but are now entering the volentary market. This company is expected to be good for smaller homes as well as older homes which is what we need here in Florida. Both companies will help when State Farm finally starts to non renew it’s clients next year because the more companies we have the better it will be for those 1.2 million State Farm policy holders that will need coverage!
